Happy Turkey Day!

Today we had a half day with the children and then conferences until 8 pm.  (Yes, I am very tired!)  I thought you might like to see our cute turkey hats, cranberry ties (made by stomping on cranberries in a ziplock bag), and noodle necklaces for our big feast and dance tomorrow (and then more conferences!)

The kids will make cranberry sauce from real cranberries by dumping the package of cranberries, sugar and water into an electric skillet and cooking it.  It smells heavenly and makes little pops as it cooks.  When it cools, the kids will get to taste it on crackers before all the Kindergarten students (96, I believe-not sure if they will all fit!) come into my classroom to dance the Turkey Tango and sing the Thankful song.

Then we send them home for four days.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
